Doesn’t make much difference. IMHO. Not worth messing with the software. Stay ‘official’ and install CameraPro N8 instead. It’s only £1.50.

Hey Steve, have you heard of or tried out the Hyper X mod for the N8 that is supposed to increase the photo quality?

If you have what are your thoughts on it?

I bought an N8 (still waiting for it to arrive), but I wasnt sure if it would be worth trying out or not.

This video makes me want an N8 so bad, they should make this like an official ad. I have to buy one when I get back to england.

Thanks for the reply, Steve. I’ll be sure to look them up when the phone arrives tomorrow. I’m not much of a pool player myself, but hey, I did ask for your opinion ;)

Happy New Year and seasons best wishes to you and yours, Steve.

VERY good review, Steve. Clear and professional. But I would like to ask you a question if I may?

I am about to recieve my latest upgrade of a Nokia N8 tomorrow from my service provider, and after watching your preview I’m curious what are the best apps, in YOUR opinion, available from the Ovi Store that you would say is a must for the N8?

Thanks again for a great review, Steve. BIG thumbs up :)

Better in some ways, worse in others… These things are always compromises, you know!

  22. stevelitchfieldFebruary 21, 2013 at 8:51 amReply

I think they had a faulty batch from one of their factories, yes. As always, I say get one made in Finland 8-)

  29. stevenojopsFebruary 21, 2013 at 12:27 pmReply

Hi Steve any new news about Nokia n8!

  30. KikuyumojaFebruary 21, 2013 at 1:23 pmReply

Uhm….there I was, hoping that Nokia would have fixed the e-mail client issues and upgraded their e-mail experiences to the likes of the iPhone. Can’t believe they put all this high-tech multimedia in a phone (like with the N95 as you already mentioned) but then “forget” about all the serious stuff. Sigh.

What does it take for Nokia to wake up? It’s not the first time that pundits like you mentioned the data sync issue (e-mail client, uploading via pixelpipe, etc.).

  31. Panhead1993February 21, 2013 at 1:40 pmReply

Perhaps. Although I also heard about LEGIT Nokia N8′s losing the paint on the spring slider. I haven’t lost any paint there yet but thats coz I use a cover on my N8. Are you having any issues with it yet?
